Transposing an RX
By now, you probably have seen a prescription similar to this...
You might have even noticed that some prescriptions have a ‘+’ in the cylinder part of the prescription. When you see these prescriptions they typically come from an ophthalmologist. Here’s how to transpose an RX. (Remember the axis can only be between 1-180.)
Transpose the following prescriptions. Remember if there is a negative cylinder, it doesn’t need to be transposed. After you’re finished turn it into your trainer.(Use a blank piece of paper)
-2.00+1.25 x 150 +1.75+1.25x020 -5.75+2.50 x080 +3.25+0.25x180 | -1.25+1.25x005 -1.25+0.50x157 +2.25+0.25x008 -5.00-2.25x178 |
