Within SVO, managers and up, in their permission level, can merge two or more charts into one chart.
To do this, from the main page in SVO, go to /patients via the icon on the left-side navigation menu:
This will take you to the standard 'quick' search of patients:
From here click on either the "x" in the upper right corner of the "Search Patients" modal, or click anywhere on the screen where the "Search Patients" modal is not, in order to close out of that modal:
This will have you on the list of "Today's Patients" for the logged-in location. From here click on the "Advanced Search" button (Magnifying Glass with "+" sign, to go to the Advanced Search page:
From the Advanced Search page, please utilize the fields to narrow your search of customer charts in SVO. The more information is filled out, the more accurate the search result will be. Once you have filled out the fields that you can, click/tap on the green "Search" button to show the results of the search in SVO, based upon the fields you filled out:
*Warning!: Please note that SVO does not currently support including charts with no orders on them, in the results of an advanced search. Standard "quick" searches will include charts with no orders on them, as grayed-text orders in the search results.
To merge two or more charts into one chart, from the search results on the Advanced Search page, select the checkboxes of the charts you wish to merge, then click/tap the blue "Merge" button:
*Warning!: CHART MERGES CAN NOT BE UNDONE. Please double-check that the charts which you have selected are the charts you wish to merge!
*Note: Chart merges will retain the highest-numbered chart (most recently created chart) and merge the lower-numbered charts into the highest-numbered chart. Chart merges will bring all notes, orders, and Rxs on file, from the previous chart(s), into the single, combined chart. Any demographic information will only be retained with the information from the highest chart number merged; if you wish to merge two or more charts, and have different demographic info than what was on the highest numbered chart, that information will need to be manually updated, after the merge of the charts is completed.
