How to find the LAN (Local Area Network) IP address of a Windows computer

From the Windows Desktop:


1. Press the Windows Key + R (Or click in the "Type Here To Search" field)

2. Type CMD and press the enter/return key

3. From the following command prompt screen, type in "ipconfig" and press the return key



4. Any available wireless or wired connections will be shown. The "IPv4 Address" under the wireless or wired connection will be the "LAN IP Address" of the device you are using.
