Basic Pricing on Frame and Lenses

Most people hear about our 2 pair deals, but many times it is more beneficial for the patient to buy one pair.  Here’s a breakdown of our basic pricing so you can begin quoting prices...

A customer may get 1 pair for $27 if they choose a frame under $20.  That price includes single-vision CR-39 lenses. A customer may get 1 pair for $57 if they choose a frame under $20 that includes CR-39  multifocal lenses (flat top, tri-focal or progressive.)

*CR-39 lenses are a basic lens material made out of plastic.

A customer may get 2 for $39 if they choose 2 frames priced at $20.  That price also includes single-vision CR-39 lenses for both pairs. A customer may get 2 pair for $79 if they choose a frame under $20 that includes CR-39  multifocal lenses (flat top, tri-focal or progressive.)

If a customer wants an upgrade to a polycarbonate lens it is $35/pair for single-vision lenses and $70/pair for everything else.

*A polycarbonate lens is a material that is about 1/3 thinner and 1/3 lighter than CR-39.  It is a good option for a strong prescription (e.g. +/-2.50 and higher).  It is also more impact resistant than CR-39 making it ideal for children and safety glasses.

Each frame has the price posted on the left temple. If a customer wants one pair of single-vision glasses they will pay the price noted on the frame plus $30 for a standard single-vision CR-39 lens. If they want upgraded lenses, those upgrade prices are listed below. If that same customer wants to purchase a second (or multiple pair) they will receive half off each lower priced frame. For example: if they were to choose an $89 frame and a $49, they will receive half off the $49 frame.

Any customer that wants to purchase multifocal glasses will pay for the price of their lenses and receive half off the cost of any frame priced above $20.

Multifocal lens options available at Success Vision Express and their  prices:

If a customer needs a lined bi-focal lens it is $70/pair.

If a customer wants a lined trifocal lens it is $70/pair.

If a customer needs a no-line bifocal (progressive) lens it is $100/pair.

You may find it easier to quote prices if you study the pricing sheets (example pictured below).

Now that you know how to answer the phones and quote prices, aim to answer 90% of the calls for the rest of the day.
